Gua Sha Massage Tools
Gua Sha, also known as kerokan or coining, is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This alternative therapy involves rubbing the skin with a special massage tool to improve circulation and relieve pain.
Choose from a variety of styles:
- Amethyst is a gemstone of protection, purification and release.
- New Jade (Serpentine) is a stone used for meditation and opening psychic abilities. It is said to have cleansing and detoxifying properties.
- Rose Quartz is a crystal with calming properties and aids in meditation, reflection, and self-love.
What it is:
Gua Sha is a facial massage tool that enhances beauty rituals by promoting the lifting and smoothing of the skin, leaving the face lifted and radiant.
Besides improving overall health and radiance of the skin, people who practice Gua Sha daily may see results such as improved circulation, brighter complexion, reduced wrinkles, improved skin tone and pigmentation, clear sinuses, and reduced puffiness. There is also the benefit of facial tension release.
How to Use:
Start with a clean face and prep skin with facial oil or serum.
Keep the tool flat against the face and begin with the forehead. Scrape in an upwards motion from the eyebrows to the hairline.
Move to the cheeks and scrape in an outwards motion starting from the crease of the nose towards the ear.
Move to the jawline and use the end of the Gua Sha from the inner corner of the eye outwards to the temple. Because the area is so sensitive, it is important to only apply light pressure.
Due to natural variations in stone, every Gua Sha tool is unique in pattern and color. Personal research before use is recommended. This technique should not be used in the presence of certain medical conditions. This item is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
