Iolite Polished Point

Polished iolite points are six-sided and tapered. Crystal points are often used to direct energies through the apex of a point. 

Iolite (also known as cordierite) is a magnesium iron aluminum silicate. This mineral is also pleochroic which means that it appears yellowish or bluish depending on the angle at which it is viewed. This sapphire look-alike was used to determine the direction of the sun on overcast days. 

As a healing stone, iolite is said to enhance leadership ability, inner strength and self confidence by strengthening the auric field. It is also said to bring harmony in relationships. Iolite is helpful in fighting addictions and alcoholism.
