Homemade Christmas decoration

We enjoy decorating the house to look festive at Christmas and We love all those fabulous Christmassy aromas - orange, clove, mandarin, cinnamon, sage, nutmeg and pine - wafting through the house.

Spiced orange - you will need:

  • A firm, fresh citrus fruit. If it is too shrivelled or too mushy, it will be harder to poke with cloves.
  • A few toothpicks. A nail works well, too.
  • A jar of whole cloves.
  • A citrus zester or a sharp vegetable peeler.
  • An elastic or two.
  • Kitchen twine, if you decide to hang any pomanders.

Now gingerbread man is not just a tradition of making gingerbread shaped man cookie to eat, it became one of the Christmas lovely symbols to our hearts that many families use to decorate their homes with.
